Oral Hygiene Information Day

We were very grateful to our local dentist Rachael Frazer for her workshop on Oral Hygiene which she presented to all the classes in our school day. She stressed the importance of washing your teeth especially before you go to bed at night. She also emphasised that the best drink for your teeth is water. Thank you so much Rachael.

Handball Champions

Congratulation to our Handball winners in the Cumann na mBunscol Cavan round -Leah Maisie Fleming, Sarah Owens, Sarah Clarke, Jade Kerley,Katie Mc Carthy and Eva Kasaneviciute.  Congratulations to our 4th class Handball singles champion who competed in the Cumann na mBunscol Ulster Handball Championships in Belfast last week.

Thanks to our Parent Association

Thanks to our parents Claire,Julie, Martina, Sue,Philomena, Melissa, Vicky, Alan and David for all their work for Pancake Tuesday. They cooked 430 delicious pancakes for pupils and another 30 pancakes for staff.  Fr. Gerry even called into  the school to enjoy one of their tasty pancakes.

Chess Club is Back

Our Chess club started back on Tuesday 13th February.It will continue every Tuesdays from 3- 3.45 for the next 8 weeks. Thanks to Magdelina for her skill and enthusiasm which drives our wonderful Chess Club. It was lovely to see everyone back.

Pancake Tuesday

Pancake Tuesday

Thanks to our Parent Association for organising Pancake Tuesday. We all enjoyed the most delicious pancakes today with a choice of lemon , syrup and honey. We had a terrific day!

Friendship Fortnight

We are celebrating Friendship Fortnight at the moment. We are taking part in lots of activities like the Friendship Posters and  menues, Friendship circles and hands. There is so much going on and we are enjoying all of it.

Book Fair 26th February to 2nd March

We have arranged for the Scholastic Book Company to visit our school from Monday 26th February to Friday 2nd March. This is a great opportunity for children to view and choose books from a wide and varied range of good quality books and authors. As the same time you will be helping our school purchase new books for each classroom through the commission we earn on each book sold. Parents of Infant classes can come and visit the Book Fair from 2-3 p.m. and parents of other classes from 3-4 p.m. from Tuesday 27th February to Friday 2nd March. World Book Day tokens worth €1.50 can be used to purchase books. These tokens will be distributed by the class teachers to pupils during Book Fair week. There is only 1 token for each child.

Literacy Lift Off -Hats and Masks

In Literacy Lift Off  in Senior Infants some of the pupils made hats and masks based on one of the books they had read called “Make a Hat and Mask”. Well done on your lovely creations!
