Literacy Lift Off Evaluation December 2016

Summary of Literacy Lift Off- Parents’ Evaluation

Thanks to our parents of  Mrs. Marks and Mrs. Mc Kenna’s  1st Classes for completing the Literacy Lift Off Evaluation forms. The evidence from our assessment of pupils before and after the 5 week programme combined with  feedback from parents shows us that our   Literacy Lift Off Programme has been a resounding success for developing the levels of literacy in both 1st classes. We hope to roll out this programme to our Senior Infant classes in the New Year. Thanks to all our parents for your support.

Our Christmas Play

Our Christmas Play

By Danielle Rooney

Our classroom looked to festive and jolly,

Mrs. Rogers had decorated it with a Christmas Tree and holly.

The kid were all excited for the annual play,

Mammies and Daddies came to watch us on that day.

Grannies and babies came along too

I was no nervous I had to skip to the loo.

We all learned our lines for the play and the songs.

its was a great job  because NOBODY went wrong.

I had a costume and my hair was in a bun

And getting ready was so much fin.

Everyone played their part from Amy to Katie and Conor

And ot be the Mammy is was such an honour!

Danny was brilliant  and had a lot of lines to say

But overall you’ll agree it was a Wonderful play.

Mrs. Corbally was delighted and gave a round of applause

And then she told us all about Santa Claus.
