Pet Snake Mack

Third class in Mrs. Rogers Room had a very interesting visitor today. It was Mack the snake. All the pupils enjoyed meeting Mack.

Mad Science Professor

As part of Science Week the Mad Science professor visited our school. He did his magic science show for 5th and 6th classes. We really enjoyed it . The best experiment was when he used the  straw to make different musical sounds by cutting it.

Futsal In Cavan

Our 3rd and 4th class pupils enjoyed the Futsal Blitz in Cavan today.  Futsal is a variation on soccer played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted. The school team were beaten in the finals by Baileboro National School. Thanks to Mrs. Rogers and Mr. Farrelly for organising a great day out!

The end of our School Evaluation

Today Friday marks the end of our week long school evaluation conducted by Department of Education Inspectors Amanda Grant and John Fitzgerald. The school report will be published on the Department of Education website in due course. The Board and staff were happy that the good work done in our school was affirmed and commended.

Mrs. Corbally accepts the stationery hamper and voucher from Andrea, Brian, Tony and Michael from Gyproc for our school. We are very grateful to them for organising this colouring competition and for the lovely prizes.

Gypsum Colouring Competition Winners

Congratulations to Sophie Fox Senior Infants. Eabha Murtagh 2nd Class, Ciara Crosby 4th Class and Seán Owens 6th class all winners in the Gypsum Colouring Competition. They were  presented with their prizes on Friday next from Tony O’ Reilly. The school also received a voucher. Thank you very much to our Tony, Brian, Michael and Andrea from Gyproc.
