The pupils from 5th class show their collage on “Feelings” as part of their work for Friends For Life. Thanks to Mrs. Foley Gargan who is their facilitator for this programme.
Today was the last day of our Junior Achievement Programme ” Our Universe” for 6th class with Thomas O’ Rourke. We learned about chromatography which is what forensic scientists use to solve a crime. We looked at finger prints and we described a crime scene and we have to be the detectives and solve the crime. We all made a telescope. We practised mirror writing. We also investigated renewable energy. We looked at healthy eating and the types of food that are best to eat. The best part of this course is our trip to Dublin Airport which will happen on the 8th of June. Thomas is taking all the pupils in 6th class to Dublin Airport. We will view the old airport building. We learned about the airport, runways and plane lanes for different destinations. It will be a really interesting trip and we are all really looking forward to it. Best of all the trip is all paid for including a meal by Dublin Airport Authority. Thank you so much to Thomas for a FANTASTIC COURSE. We will ALWAYS remember it.
Our class were working on 3 D construction . We made 3 D shapes using squares and magnetic shapes. We had to work in groups to make different 3 D shapes. We had lots of fun and we also learned a lot too.
