As Part of our ‘Be Active’ Week St. Joseph’s N.S. took part in a sponsored walk to Dun na Rí Forest Park.We had the fire brigade as our escort through the town and Molly and Leah both were lucky enough to get a ride in the Fire Engine. Most of us wore our high viz jackets. We had parents helping us along the way. Thanks to Martin and all the Firemen who helped us on the day, We have collected €2200 so far for our sponsored walk. We loved getting to walk through the town of Kingscourt and enjoyed the sights of Dun na Rí Park.
The yoga took place in our P.E. hall and in Mrs. Boyle’s classroom today. The session took one hour for each class. It was very relaxing and quiet. We also meditated and there was a nice smell in the hall because there were some kinds of oils in the air. It was calming and all pupils had fun. The yoga was about finding your inner self. Every pupil had their own mat for yoga the session. We thank the instructors Aisling and Shauna for the wonderful day. The rest of the classes will get their chance with yoga on Friday.
