Student Council 2012

Maureen Mc Cullagh presented the Student Council with certificates and acknowledged their great contribution to our school over the last two months. The elections for the new student Council will be take place over the next few days.

The 6 km Race

There was a 6km race on Saturday 13th  October for funding for the new footpath out to Dun-a-Ri Forest Park.It started in the market square and went out the Shercock road,in through the Shercock entrance to the forest park and around the park.It then continued around the back of Kingspan, out through the G.A.A. pitch and up the Corrgary back intoKingscourt.The finish line was outside The Wishing Well. Micheal McCullagh came first in the childrens’ category. The winner in the adults’ category finished in 20 minutes.There was sandwiches and juice for the runners and the walkers afterwards.

My New Dog

This is my dog. Her name is Snowy and she is a west highland terrier pup. She is 4 months old. She has grey eyes and she loves playing games and  is very friendly. She gets on well with my cat and the rest of my dogs. She likes going for walks in Dun A Ri . After the long walk she likes to sleep.

G.A.A. Training and Matches and Athletics

Football training takes place this Friday 5th October from 3.15- 4.00 in the park . The next match in the Boys’ Interschool League takes place on Wednesday next 10th October in Mullagh. The team will be leaving the school at 2.30 p.m. and returning to the school between 4.30 and 4.45. There is also a match in Virginia on Friday on 12th October and there will be no football training on this day.

 

 

Athletics Training
Athletics training will take place on Thursday 5th and 11th October from 3.15- 4.15. Interschool cross-country Championships athletics take place in Kilinkere during the school day on Wednesday 17th October.
