The Green School Committee are working very hard on our project for our third Green Flag for Water Conservation.

Alison Traenor from Cavan County Council gave a very interesting presentation to the 5th and 6th class pupils on the importance

of conserving our water. She gave us lots of examples of how we can save water in our homes, by not running the tap when we are washing our teeth and by only using the dish washer and washing machine when they are full. She showed us where our tap water in Kingscourt is sourced in Ervey Lake.

Our Motto for water conservation is

"In Kingscourt School we care

We are water aware"
